2. About

I’m a welder who codes and a self-taught, applied engineer. I build tools, apps, and digital infrastructure designed to work in the real world — not just in theory.

My name is Armando Tabarez (known online as Mando-Man). I blend hands-on craftsmanship with modern software engineering to create tools that are practical, durable, and human-centered.

What I Build & Run

I operate at the intersection of bits and atoms. It started with steel:

  • Underdog Mobile Welding Owner: I’ve been welding since my teens, working across steel mills, power plants, pipelines, gas plants, and industrial facilities. Today, I operate a mobile welding service that handles structural fabrication and repair including trailers, plateforms, stairs, handrails, and metal buildings. Clients call me because I show up, quote honestly, and build solutions that work in the field.

Core Values

I built my welding rig piece by piece, learning responsibility through every tool purchased, every job completed, and every problem solved on site. Without a ready-made path, I learned how to communicate, understand client needs, and deliver practical solutions under pressure. That same approach defines how I build systems today with ownership, structure, and follow-through:

Practical Vision

I bridge vision and execution. Ideas are translated into real, working systems — not left as concepts. If something can’t be built, refined, or maintained, it isn’t finished.

Forward Momentum

Progress matters. I don’t stall in analysis or chase perfection for its own sake. Once direction is clear, execution moves forward with consistency and intent. Systems are built to evolve, not stagnate.

Order from Complexity

Complex problems don’t intimidate me. I break them down, organize them, and reassemble them into something usable and reliable. Clarity is engineered, not assumed..

System Mechanics

Le Unique Generators: I restore and troubleshoot industrial welding generator systems — specializing in Lincoln SA-200s, Vantages, Rangers, and diesel-driven machines. Bringing machines back to life taught me how to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical systems under real-world conditions.

Software Development

Mando-Man Software: CEO & Founder. I began building software in my early twenties, starting with Android application development during the platform’s early days. While life pulled me into welding and hands-on work, I continued learning — studying programming fundamentals, writing Python and JavaScript, and understanding how systems are structured from the ground up. Today, my work spans from low-level logic and backend integration to immersive front-end experiences, including Flutter-based mobile apps, mapping systems, and hardware-aware workflows.

Practical Innovation

Solving actual problems before chasing the latest tech trends or hype.
